And that information (such as in your post) only tells you Windows bombed out. It is nothing more than that.

Next time tell more such as make, model, what was running at the time and a little story about this PC.

Such as "I was torrenting the Star Wars set and it bombed. Why?"

my system is windows 7 on a Aspire 3000 probably older then you are it started happening right after bubbles screen saver came on. I have office 2000 on the computer I downloaded a fix for word it has not done it again so far.I would like to buy new system but no money on disability. thanks for answering.

I'm surprised you even got windows 7 to load on it. Even Vista abandoned support for SiS chips that old. Even on Linux I think you'd need to go back a few kernels, like Mint 13 (good till 2017).

My first program was on a GE-210 if you want to compare ages. Unsure why that matters. Think about taking your car to the shop. They'll ask make, model, age of the car and what seems to be the trouble. The top post is something of a problem as folk think that is all that is needed to diagnose PC problems.

That's untrue so we end up asking for details rather than working the problem. Try to tell enough or else you could get answers like buy a new PC or reload it all.
