One of the best clues is gone.
-> Try the boot of the XP CD and a REPAIR install.
-> Next, backup your files and start over with the lesson learned about this virus and what not to do next time.
Bob
I am using Windows xp Pro and recently was infected with a virus. After running Norton Antivirus and removing the virus, I had to reboot the system. When I did, Windows rebooted but instead of my desktop I got a blue screen and no task bar, basically nothing works. I tried rebooting to safe mode but all I get there is a black screen and no task bar, basically nothing works.
I'm stuck and any help would be appreciated.
