Blue screen error on Inspiron 1545

Hello.

I have installed Windows XPon my Inspiron 1545. Accidentally I installed the touchpad drivers meant for inspiron 1525 on my 1545 . After restarting my system throws a blue screen everytime I try to boot

Error type is 0x00000024

I can start windows XP only in safe mode with command prompt /safe mode with networking.

I tried uninstalling the touchpad drivers and then installed the touchpad drivers for 1545 in the safe mode with networking.

But the blue screen still torments me.

How do I solve this problem ? I dont want to format my laptop.

Since you can boot to the command prompt.
