Reading http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330182 you have to have your bona fide XP CD and be skilled at copying files and more COMMAND LINE work than I can teach here.
But the errors remind me of a remote control trojan I've been removing this last year. No, Norton didn't protect them.
My advice? Slip in a new blank hard drive for a test install of the OS. Hope it's ok and then get your files off the old drive.
My computer suddenly shut down, and after trying to restart I received the Blue screen with this error message:
Stop: 0x0000007E (0x80000003, 0x805c49B8, 0xf79e02b4, 0xf79dffb0)
I tried to start in Safe Mode, Last Known Good Config. When I attempt to start inn safe mode I receive this message:
Stop: 0X00000050 (0xc4b12174, 0x00000001, 0x80537009, 0x00000000),
I have Windows XP, and have not installed any new software or hardware anytime recently.
Anybody have any idea on what I can do?
