Alert

Blue screen all the time.

Feb 9, 2015 12:24AM PST

I have been having a problem for quite a while now..

I get blue screen everytime I play a game especially when I play Dying light.

Sometimes I get bluescreen when I turn my pc on. and then bluescreens four times on a row if you know what I mean.

In the program bluescreenview, it says that it is caused by driver "mv91xx.sys". Meaning marvell 91xx. I recently tried to update that driver but that didn't fix the problem.
Caused by address: mv91xx.sys+2fee1

Bug Check Code: 0x0000003d
Parameter 1: fffff800'00b9bf40
parameter 2: 00000000'00000000
Parameter 3: 00000000'00000000
Parameter 4: fffff880'01156ee1

Thanks for any help and let me know if there is any other information that you need! Happy

My specs:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Memory 8.2 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

hope this helps, trust me I have tried to look at the links and they seem outdated I think.

Still missing enough detail.

Let's hope those solved posts help but sometimes it's the basics. Time to replace heatsink compound or look for other folk that played that game and BSODed.

It is not just the game as I think I said. very often when I turn my pc on and when I get to the desktop I get BSODed.

I'd like to hear a lot more about the machine. The CPU rolled out 2 years ago so it may be time to redo all that and the GPU. It's also in the age span where the PSU age and more can cause troubles. If it is a driver or software, that would have been since day 1 so my bet is on age, hardware or recent changes.

On the WWW, possible fix
Feb 9, 2015 12:38AM PST

Here is a link, its seems like a common problem/issue.

Do your own seeking but also, its as possible the device/item is getting kaput too or gaming demands are outstripping your PC. Visit the maker's support website and check there for the best drivers rather than any other 3rd party at least from the start. if that fails, I tend to visit the device own support website and get those new drivers or install chipset.

Hey thanks for reply!

I checked that out earlier today but I didn't know what to do on the website that I came into when I clicked Download. This links shows up <span id="INSERTION_MARKER">http://www.station-drivers.com/ and then there is alot of drivers and there is nowhere to actually download anything there.

EU website
Feb 9, 2015 2:40AM PST

This isn't a US based website. Though it appears to offers much of the same drivers. If you use this site, then click on the top portion [downloads] then type out MARVELL to search their database. Same would apply to many other websites in most cases. If you know the Marvel chipset or driver #, then review the hits you get upon searching. -OR- simply do a google search as well. Now, you need to trust the website you visit and/or I suggest you DON"T USE so-called driver helper pgms. that can be troublesome or misleading. ie: driver detective, etc.. Which is why I offered you visit the PC maker's support website for the applicable driver that befits your needs for your PC model#. Alas, you gave no details on what your PC model# is.
