As it ran W7 it could be an aging PC in need of basic work such as fan replacements, heatsink compound, BIOS update, BIOS settings, drivers and more. I can't tell from the details so far except it sounds like the usual.
As to your question about Malwarebytes and Windows Defender it's a common mix and I have yet to find it to cause any issues.
Let's try a look at the PC with the usual Web Speccy Report. It will show some common areas in a single report that members can comment on. Here's how:

It seems that I'm reading about "Blue Screen" quite often. "Blue Screen" makes me uneasy.
I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on Jan.8/20. My McAfee protection followed it. Then one day, shortly thereafter, I was faced with a blue screen, and an error that said, "Stop Code: Memory Management. No idea what that is. I had no mouse control, and my computer wouldn't shut down using the conventional on/off button on the front, so I cut the power to the computer. Then I reconnected the power and the computer re-started. A beautiful thing! About two weeks later it happened again, I repeated the previous process, and I was again back in business.
A couple of days ago I completely uninstalled McAfee, and then installed the free Malwarebytes scanner to hopefully augment my Windows Defender anti-viral protocols. Everything seemed fine for a couple of days, but I just got the same blue screen, and error again.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? Could it be a compatibility issue between the 3rd party anti-virus software, and my Windows Defender? If it could be, I'd be more than happy to just depend on my Windows Defender in the future, and forget about screwing around with 3rd party plans. Then again it could be something else entirely. Who knows? I'm a moderate an quite vigilant user of my computer. Any advice would be gratefully accepted.
Thank you........Dave
