Blue ray & its quality

by thriceman / March 22, 2010 1:44 PM PDT

Hi, I don't know if this is a real problem but it's been bothering me. I have a 40in Sony lcd hd tv model-kdl-40s5100 and a sony blue ray player model-bdps360 and when i play a blue ray the picture looks a little fuzzy. A regular dvd seems to have a better picture why is this? And yes i have a hdmi cable hooked up to it.

Try these things:

1. Make sure your blu-ray player is set to output at 1080p and not some lower resolution.
2. Try a different HDMI cable
3. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. A blu-ray from the 80's or early 90's will never look as good as a DVD from a film that came out last year.

If none of those things work, call the blu-ray player manufacturer and see what they can do.

What is the resolution? If it's 720, then all is normal.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
