Blue boxes w/ white arrows on icons??

Apr 23, 2009 10:26PM PDT

On the lower left corner of my Microsoft Office 2007 icons, I recently began to notice small blue boxes with two white (right pointing)arrows. They came from no-where but I did update symantec and upgraded to IE&. I am running Windows. These are very annoying as they dominate the screen when I have many icons in front of me. What are they and how can I eliminate this feature? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In Norton 360 backup there are icon overlays for the files that need to be backed up and have not yet been backed up. You can turn this feature off in Norton. It will take a reboot after you turn the feature off for your "normal" icons to return. Let me know if you need step-by-step instructions or if you figured it out.
