blu ray issues

let me start by saying, i own a 1500 model blu ray player.. so far ive had no problems with it. The other day i got "the rocker" from netflix on blu ray dvd.. now when u put the movie in and go to the title menu and push ok on 'play' it attempts to play and shows fbi warnings then falls into an infinite loop. shows the menu back ground screen with no icons showing. u can hear the switch of the cursor in the background tho and u can select scene selection with no icon showing.. rather strange. i returned the first dvd and got a second copy.. thinking maybe it was bad disc but it does the same thing. i figured it might need updated so i went and plugged it in to my router. went into the settings and tried to connect to the internet but it says it can't connect.. so my question is, is this a update issue? will this fix the problem? or is this dvd just glitched? if the update can't fix it then i won't bother to trouble shoot the internet connection. any info on this would be great.. kinda sucks not being able to watch this movie
