Until 2 days ago I never experienced a problem with the Samsung not playing DVDs. Now 2 of the past 3 have not loaded. Can anybody please help? Is there a head cleaner similar to what movie cassettes have?

Hate to be the naysayer here, but I'll believe it when I see it. Samsung has basically turned their back and flatly ignored the issue for months, so they will have to excuse our reluctance to think this is anything more than hot air. Funny what a little bad press can accomplish. The lowly, unhappy customers have not even registered on Samsung's radar for months.
All I can say is "the check is in the mail."
Has the firmware issue been fixed for the Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-Ray? I had the lock up issue with some blu-rays and had to load an older version of the firmware to resolve the problem.
Same issues for me, after an update to firmware wwb-1021.4 the bd-C5500 will play DVD and music discs but
will not load BD disc. I cannot find a menu setting or a resolution change or a FF hold down or an unplugging to reset that fixes this issue. SamSung support was no help, on suggesting waiting for a new firmware later in July 2011.
