Blocking Spyware

Can I alter the HKey in Registry Editor to stop spyware from working.
I use Spybot, Yahoo & Lavasoft but the same spyware keeps coming back.
Can it be fooled?
Thanks

The only way I've found is to ...

Disable all scripting and ActiveX. That breaks too much but stops it cold.

Or you could try Firefox.
