Find a service manual, get your electronic equipment ready and find out what needs to be fixed.
Or call a tech and ask an estimate for repair.

You just told me what I don't want to hear ,Ha! Guessing your not going to do all the work for me huh? Looked up operation and installation manuals. I did make an attempt prior , before raising my hand. I tried troubleshooting options and nothing. But let me pull my head out and search for a Service Manuel. Ha You helped more than you think. Thanks

The HP TVs are now so old that no tech goes near them. Kees is spot on about you needing (or the tech) the service manual. The tech gets it because they are paid. You have incentive to find the manual since you own the TV.

Remember, I have yet to find any TV tech or engineer post here. This doesn't mean there is no help at all as electronics repair still follows the same path for almost everything. That is, get service manual, follow steps in that manual, replace parts it calls for.

That said I am encountering folk that don't understand this and reply with "just tell me how to fix it." They are the lost, the ones that may go down in flames but we always hope they don't.

That out of the way, more tips are at http://www.shopjimmy.com/tv-repair-tips

Have not had the chance to dig in, But the time has come. Back cover has been removed and so far not looking obvious. Going to follow directions . Tell you what I collect for data sharing.LB
