And for your model the blink codes (sorry I leave this to you.) It looks to be a motherboard issue.

In the owners manual saids that the 4 amber and 1 blue means that the battery is too hot... It happens to me too, the only problem is that my battery its not hot at all, so i don?t understand... When i go to to energy options and watch the energy meeter it saids that my batteries energy its unknown... i really don?t know beacause its worcking just fine, when i disconnect it from the AC it just keep doing the same flashing (4 amber and 1 blue) but it does not turn off, just keep working fine.

That's a fine clue. When the little communication that talks to the battery pack fails you will get erroneous messages. That's NOT a bug. It's how things work and fail.

If the battery is not hot enough to bother you when you hold onto it and there is no other bad signs, keep using it till it fails.

Hehe, good timing Bob... When I turned off my computer it was disconnected form de AC, i notice that it didn't turn on until i connected it to the AC... does that mean that my battery is screwed?

Thank you Bob.

We can't tell.

The tests are usually out of reach unless you're in an office with dozens of Dells. Our favorite test is to swap it out with another battery pack.

Again, the clues are there that the little communication with the battery pack has failed. This means we can't trust any of the error messages. It's a sham it doesn't say "batt comm failure." That would be closer to the truth.

If the battery does not overheat and you get something over a hour then keep going.
