_blank (deprecated)

as some of you may konw, the _blank is being deprecated, and I would like to know, what is it going to be replaced with.
I think someone mentioned to me that it will be with java, is that correct?

I found all I needed to know in http://codingforums.com/archive/index.php?t-43603.html and the links in there.

Replacing valid html by javascript, however, has the disadvantage that some people for safety reasons disable javascript for non-trusted sites. So it's not a very practical way to do this.
