Blackjack...Vista and Windows mobile 6?

by msk6261 / March 11, 2007 4:48 AM PDT

I am considering a the Samsung Blackjack.

Does the current version enable it to link and sync with Vista?

What will the difference be between WM 5 & 6 and does anyone know if this smartphone will be equipped with 6 anytime soon?

Can this phone be unlocked??

Any other upgrades in the works (Wifi, etc.?) so that I'm not purchasing a dinosaur within a week of purchasing it?

BlackJack and Vista ...
by wakientexas / April 19, 2007 11:53 AM PDT

I have both, and yes they are compatible - atleast for what I want it to do. I sync music and photos. Vista isn't as far fetched from XP as it seems. Now, I did have a problem setting up my email within my blackjack - but that was probably the er, um end user. If you use outlook, you shouldn't have any problems recieving your mail on your blackjack, as long as you can get it set up - I was trying to set up an aol, and with aol mobile, there wasn't a need.
A few more quirks - and don't get me wrong, I still looovvvveeee my blackjack - the ringer volume on the outdoor profile, turned all the way up - still is not very loud. And with todays virus junkies - you will need to look into anti-viral software for mobile/smartphones.
And by all means protect your investment with a case - an associate has one and his keys are sticking because dust has settled behind them.
Hope this helps, and if anyone knows how make the blackjack louder, let me know.
