BlackBerry Storm Pairing
by blackcoffeenosugar / August 22, 2009 12:52 AM PDT

What is the problem exactly? Have you set both devices to "visible"? Could you provide the error messages on the phone and the car when you try to pair them? Have you successfully paired the BlackBerry with the car before? Or have you successfully paired the BlackBerry with any other devices such as a Bluetooth headset before?

For the information you have provided at the moment. I suggest you delete any previous profiles of the two devices on each other, make sure the two can "see" each other when you do a search, and try to pair them again.

Both devices are visible. I deleted all profiles on both vehicle and blackberry. I successfully paired the blackberry with another mobile phone. The error comes up, Cannot pair. Hope this helps

Bluetooth Pairing

In reply to: Storm pairing

After receiving your reply I did some research, What you have encountered seems to be a quite common issue with the handsfree feature on Honda Accord affecting a lot of people with all sorts of phones. So neither you nor your BlackBerry Storm is alone.

However one particular post I found reported that the person followed the instructions on http://www.hondahandsfree.com and got his phone to work after some trial and error. I know it sounds silly. But would you like to try to follow the exact steps under the "Step Up You Phone" section on that website?

Please keep me informed of any progress. Good luck!
