Cross posting now?

My guess is you're trying to illegally download youtube vids or music. Am I right?

All perfectly legal

I have been viewing songs on my HP laptop by famous singers for some time, listening and writing my own sheet music.
For instance, "We were waltzing one night in Kentucky" I just write "song", followed by the song title and up it comes, until now it has just stopped working.
The page I want comes up with a thumbnail of the one I want plus thumbnails of other songs that I may wish to access, except now, clicking on the selected song thumbnail brings up a screen alongside with the name of the selected song underneath the blacked out screen, but no video and no sound.
What can I do?

Until more details are known

This is the old "it doesn't work" post. Not much can be done with so little information. I don't see which browser and a common thing is to try other PCs and browsers.

U tube problem solved

Good news!!
It is up and working again. I discovered that following it going black in the middle of a video the other night, I think I didn't close it down. I discovered the site on my chrome desktop and clicked it and on it came. After closing it down I opened Utube with a song name and up it came, so thanks for looking a my problem.
You live and learn, don't you.

I have to guess it never worked so HP has a clear warranty issue. Here, it's all good.

Same for me Bob.

The thing is, so much detail left to guess here.

No history, what browser, what antivirus suite, why isn't HP on the hook (history!) and more.

-> But I forgot a thing. Just yesterday one of the office laptops went out to lunch. Nothing worked right. Using my old IT skills I turned it off and on again. The Windows Update started its install and we left it while we went to lunch. When we came back, everything was working.

"Did you turn it off and on again?" fixed that one.

A bit of research points to "recovering deleted videos".

But as you said, not enough info.
