Question

Black Screen When connecting Samsung SyncMaster T220P to my

May 14, 2017 9:03PM PDT

I just connected My Syncmaster T220P for the first time to my newly bought laptop ( Inspiron 15 7559 ) with a DVI to HDMI cable, everything went swell when I did a split screen but suddenly after opening any options in the resolution or opening a game or an app both of the screens turn black and the only way to exit that is to force shut down my laptop.
I can't find the reason that happens ... is it BIOS fault? missing drives? maybe something with rendering? please help!
P.S: A notable mention would be that it only happens when I split screen, not when I duplicate.
