Black screen

I was messing around with the settings and now my screen, text, background are all black. Thanks in advance.

What settings exactly? What screen? And what is the difference between screen and background? Are the icons black also? Or are there no icons on this particular screen you messed up?

Since settings are user dependent, all you have to do is login into your spare admin account, make a new account for daily use, login to that and copy your data out of your damaged account.

If you forgot to make a spare admin account, boot into the recovery drive you made (in Windows 10) or the Windows install disk or stick for Windows 10 (free to make) or in "Safe mode with command prompt" if you don't have Windows 10, and use the net user command to make a new user (you can get details on that via google). Then login to that and proceed as above.
