Black/Grey Spots Down Side of TV

by dpgchivas / September 3, 2013 10:21 AM PDT

I turned on my Samsung LN52A650, which I have had for a few years now, and the left side had three to four grey circles down the left side of it. I turned off the tv and after awhile I turned it back on and now the circles are black. There are also black lines down the left side of the tv. What could have caused this and can this be repaired?

Google BRUISED LCD PANELS to find pictures of failures like that. You could head to and see how much a LCD is but it's usually more than a new set.

Interesting problem when replacement parts are more than the set.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
