Ask your TV shops how much to set the drive levels and calibrate the set. I've yet to find this area user serviceable. And it's the cheapest thing it can be unless you are using composite signals where the noise may be in the source.
Hello, first post on the forum and I will try to include as much detail as possible. Sorry, it is lengthy.
So, I have a 50" LG 50PJ350-UB. I believe it is an older model 720p plasma. The story behind it is, i bought it at goodwill..dont judge..130$. They had it hooked up to a dvd player using a composite video cable. It looked great. All it had were 2 vertical lines about an inch apart that were almost unnoticeable until they were pointed out to me.
Now it is about 7-8 days later and I have finally gotten around to mounting it on the wall. I hooked up the ps4 by hdmi, fired it up and at first it looked fine. Then I started noticing that if something were to remain in one place on the screen for about 5 or more seconds, when a new screen appears or is moved, there is a black, pixelated outline of what was there, and then it slowly disappears. However, towards the right upper side of the tv, there is some sort of outline of something that stays. So, I tried the white and black static method. That worked to get the majority of the pixelation off of the bottom/left of the screen, but that only lasts until I put something back up on the screen again. And as for the top right of the screen, that black pixelation has not gone away..so I am stumped and don't even know exactly what the issue is so any help is appreciated. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
