Will it boot if you remove the old HDD?

Sometimes I find the clone job actually failed.

Also, the BIOS could be out of date.

In fact, most folk are SCARED of BIOS updates and you find the machine way out of date with the problems noted in the BIOS notes or missing features.

HD is to remove it for the first boot as the system should automatically assign it to C. Then reinstall the HD and it should assume D.

BIOS Cannot save boot order
Nov 9, 2018 6:44AM PST

My issue is also the same with Dell Inspiron 5575 with InsydeH20 1.1.7 BIOS! Cloned a ADATA SX8200 successfully. Everytime I have to press the F12 key to get the Boot option and then choose the ssd. The clone works fine. If I disconnect the hard drive once and then boot, will it change the boot order permanently??! There is no option in the bios to disable the hard drive. Useless!

I fixed one like this.

Just had to format the HDD so it didn't have a bootable OS.
