What were you updating?

Were you updating the BIOS? If so, why?

If you were updating the OS and that failed for some reason, then it is unlikely there is any problem with the BIOS.

Updating the BIOS

So, did you attempt to update the BIOS on a Packard Bell computer using some upgrade package for some other computer?

If so, why did you think that would work?

May be it is time to RESET THE BIOS. Not something I have ever done but then, I have never found it necessary to update/upgrade a BIOS.

There are plenty of articles in Google to help with resetting the BIOS, such as;
http://www.howtogeek.com/131623/how-to-clear-your-computers-cmos-to-reset-bios-settings/

But in your case I would strongly suggest you seek professional help. Take the computer to your nearest reputable specialist computer repair shop and get them to do it.

You need a working BIOS (to read the file from the diskette or USB-stick) to update the BIOS. So, if the power failure resulted in a half-updated non-working BIOS you have a problem indeed. Maybe only the maker can solve it.

Now when I boot I can get into the bios with F2, it tries to read the dvd drive and even if I put a USB drive but it does not load anything and stays with the screen in black. I have read that for example with the hp is preparing a memory flashing the bios with a combination of keys but I can not find the method for my model

Or to a Linux LIVE DVD. If it won't boot to either of those, time for a shop.
