Did you swap out the motherboard? Does that fix it?
Does the motherboard (bad) have crowned, bulging or leaking capacitors?
Hi, i'm hoping you can help me. I have an asus motherboard with award bios.
socket a, 2400xp chip, 1024 megs of ram. It had been working for some time but then the rig wouldn't boot.
I get a looping beep noise but nothing else. I've checked this beep code and it seems to mean a hot processor. I've changed the hsf, no effect, and tried the cpu in another system, cpu works fine.
Why do i continue to get this beeping when the system is not hot anymore? I've tried different memory and a different graphics card in this system and still i get the beeping. I took the main board battery out, to clear cmos, also... no effect.
Any ideas? Thanking you in advance, John.
