My Dell 17-5755, with Windows 10 needed a new DC power jack. I took it apart ( using step by step instructions), and put a new one in. I also had taken out the CMOS battery briefly and put it back in. The PC was turned off at the time. After the laptop was back together, I charged it fully. When I turned it on, it brought up Dell Support Assist, analyzing storage, memory, etc. Now I'm getting a message telling me that something in my hardware might be failing, although I don't think that is the case. I'm also getting a Dell error message 2000-0151, basically saying that I need to update firmware in the BIOS. I don't know anything much about going into the BIOS, and need someone to talk to and help me do that, but I don't want to have to reset the PC to factory reset. Instead, I just want it back to the way it was before I installed the new Power jack. My knowledge of utilizing the BIOS is VERY LIMITED. If there is someone that might have the patience to talk to me about the details of the process (es), I would be very grateful and appreciative for your input and expertise. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
