Billion users in a decade. The next wave.

Billion users in a decade or the next wave is noted at

The older PC users (hey that's me) are getting uppity at times as we watch what's happening to the industry. CHANGE is in the air and seeing the flood of smart phones, tablets you see the old things to be displaced or replaced.

A lot of folk are not ready for the next wave and some are mis-reading what it means to accommodate these new users and devices. I think XKCD explains one mis-reading well at

There's a lot driving this change. My short list is that the devices give me access almost anywhere and I'm not installing a boatload of antivirus apps. It's something I use rather than maintain.

What does this have to do with CNET? More than you think. CNET is more than a stop for finding out about Apples and PCs

If you are trying to make your plan on what to do next at your company, you can make a good guess on what and who will be in first and second place.
