Big mistake: installed Vista 32-bit instead of Vista 64-bit

Dec 5, 2010 10:00AM PST

Hi,
I need some help please! By mistake, after a virus attack to my computer, I have installed Vista Ultimate SP1 32-bit instead of Vista 64-bit, which I think was the former OS in my computer. After the installation process, besides having lost all my internet configurations, the desktop appeared much smaller than the size of the screen. I assume all this is due to my mistake. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Is it possible to uninstall Vista-32 and install vista 64-bit?
Many thanks for your help!

I bet it's not a 32 or 64 bit version issue but drivers we all need to install after we install Windows.

Thanks Bob for your reply. Do you mean that the Desktop size for example, could be modified by installing a driver? if this was the case, I guess I can't do this either since I lost all internet configurations and can no longer connect online for downloading drivers....(or I do not know how, anyways...)....I think I'm in trouble!

As we install drivers for motherboard, audio, video, wifi, ethernet and what else, the machine should return to normal.

And some forget we can download on other machines to USB sticks, CDR media and transfer the drivers the old fashioned way.
