BHO Sorry

by MobileDiscJockey / February 18, 2005 5:00 AM PST

I posted a questions earlier and I asked how to get rid of an HBO, I meant an BHO sorry, I was sitting here watching the tube and there was a commercial on about HBO at the time I was typing in my question, guess it was subliminal anyway.....spybot informs me of a BHO and I was wondering if it might be because I'm using Mozilla as my browser, and also could it possible affect my cdrom, it just stopped working while I was ripping cd's to my hard drive, thanks again and sorry for the misprint earlier!

It's more like helping itself with your browser. No, it's not because you use Mozilla. It's a possible threat and you need to look into it and probably should remove it.

Thanks Steve, I appreciate your response, I've tried to remove it with spybot, I just don't trust that it's gone! Do you have any more feedback about HOW to get rid of it? Thanks again,
Mark

other thread that you started for this too Mark. I didn't see this second one when I responded to the first one. The name of the BHO would be a big help for someone to help you get rid of it.

Hey roddy,
ya know a few days ago I looked at my desktop and my shortcut to mozilla firefox had changed its name from mozilla firefox to something like AMIA or something close to that, I don't know if that helps or not, ......and being the uneducated individual I am, I just renamed my shortcut back to mozilla firefox and went on, not thinking a thing about it, DUH!
Thanks,
Mark

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
