Beware of PC Tools Registry Mechanic

I have two problems with PC Tools Registry Mechanic. First, I purchased the full version of registry mechanic and it blew away three of my programs, one of them twice after a Registry Mechanic update. I tried using the Registry Mechanic ?restore? to no avail. When I contacted their tech support, they told me the restore should have worked and that I should re-install the programs. I tried to inform them I already re-installed the programs once, but was afraid to use Registry Mechanic just in case any new updates my cause the trouble again. I was hoping to work with their tech support to try and locate the cause of the trouble. The reason I say ?tried to inform them? is because, they haven?t or won?t respond to any of my subsequent emails or tickets. In short, there is no REAL tech support on this product.

Second, when I went into my profile on their web site, I found that my account was set up for an automatic yearly renewal. I never authorized this and would have never known had I not gone in to update my profile. Shame on you PC Tools, I guess you will try to make money any way you can.
