Good find

and thanks for making it so clear what we have known for some time:

DRIVER UTILITIES rarely work.

We work to two maxims;

1] If it isn't broken, DON'T FIX IT

2] If it is broken, get the drivers from the computer supplier or hardware manufacturer.

Driver Genius? NOT. Really. Buyer BEWARE..
Aug 26, 2011 6:33PM PDT

I am so sorry I wasted my time and $$$ getting their product. Headache after headache.
From what I've learned (usually the hard way!):
1] If you need a new driver, get it from the developer/software company that originally wrote the "current" version.

2] If/when you update driver/s do not do alot of them at once. Take your time. If the current driver/s worked up to *now*, an easier update-path is safer than en-mass updating. I rarely have had positive results from wholsale driver updating sessions.

3] Do complete backup of your important files/documents before you make changes to your system/s.

4] Create a System Restore Point. If doesn't work everytime, but when it does you'll save yourself hours reloading a dead/corrupted system.

Hope this all helps.
