Beware of Bitdefender billing practices

by medeno / January 24, 2009 8:22 AM PST

I had Bitdefender for about 6 moonths then cancelled. Just before the one year renewal, I got an email saying renewal time is here and to visit thier website to update my credit card. I emailed them numerious times and called them stating I do not want thier product, but they dont give up. I do not recommend this product as they will not let you go. My latest email I pasted below.

Greetings Christopher,

We wanted to let you know we are having difficulty processing your order. If you have not received your license key(s), your order has not been completed successfully. We value your business and wish for you to return in order to successfully complete your purchase.
To resolve the issue, please come back to the BitDefender portal page and re-select the product you wish to order. You may want to pay special attention to the payment information in your order to confirm it is correct and current - or perhaps use an alternate credit card.

Please disregard this message if you feel it is in error.

Thank you for shopping at BitDefender.
