Question

Better value for speed?

by ME16510 / December 2, 2015 12:33 PM PST

The main thing I want in this laptop is speed. Specifically I like writing music on my computer so something that can run FL studio smoothly would be good. I had an HP pavilion with i7 (dual core) and 6gb RAM previously, but it got stolen. I think the HP was good, but I'd prefer a little faster. I found one with an AMD A8 quad core/8gb ram and one with an AMD A10 quad core/12gb ram. I want to keep the price as low as possible, but also have something good. I'm wondering if the A10/12gb one is worth the extra $100 and will be a good amount better than the other. Here are some links:

I am definitely upset my laptop was stolen, but at the same time I'm subtly glad because now I have a reason to buy a new one that isn't HP. haha

My son thinks the audio is much better on the Tosh A10 model he has. To me, I couldn't tell the difference. And the Windows 10 upgrade went without a hitch. Didn't have to search for drivers.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
