Note that unless both your router and NIC are from the same maker and both 108mbps capable, your speed will not reach the stated goal.
Just dropped my computer on its side and bent/broke the NetgearWG511 adaptor (54mps). Need to replace. I have the Netgear 624 router (basic model). Not the best reception in my room; however about 30ft away and one wall away from the router. I couldn't receive connection 50% of the time and had to take the computer to the living room (where only 10-15 feet away from the router and excellent reception).
Does anyone know if the upgrade 511T would receive better reception than the 511? Is is worth the extra $10-$15?
We have cable internet.
