been totally satisfactory. My living room had to remain a living room, not a dedicated home theater. I wound up with 5.1. I feel 7.1 is overkill except for those dedicated to the most involving surround environment or very large space. I resented the money but routed the rears up the front wall, over the ceiling to the rears on a 3 foot vertical because LR is 12 feet, surrounding open floor plan is 9 feet.
If wireless actually worked without drop outs, etc. it'd be much more a tantalizing solution. The proposition I would pursue is if using a custom installer who guaranteed satisfactory results, I would hold them to the performance promise.
So I?m just getting into designing my new home entertainment system. I?m not wanting to deal with the wires for the surround sound speakers, so are there any good wireless speakers out there? Or should I just deal with the wires?
