Best Way to copy DVD's to Harddrive to Stream Via Samsung PC

Hi All,

I did start another tread regarding VOB files not always playing. What do people recommend for ripping their dvd's to a PC? I use Nero Recode but as I said some of the VOB files cant play due to codecs etc.

Can any one recommend some software so I can give it a try as I really would like to set up the streaming of films

Thanks

Ray

rayg1979,

I can't engage in this, since it can be a touchy topic.

If you can play directly from the DVD, find a program (free or shareware) to make an image (.iso) of that DVD on your harddisk. Then using a program like Deamon tools or isodisk (both free downloads) mount that image as a drive letter and use the same program to play it.
Should always work.

By the way, what do you mean with 'streaming'?

Hi,

I have copied a video of my sons christmas play to the PC in vob format (this way there is no copy right problems) and I still get the problem where it will play some of the vob files but when it tries to move onto the next one the TV comes up with a message saying "video Codec Not Supported" and then tries to move on to the next vob file!

I really really want to get this working properly as it is an excelant addition to the TV so if any one couls help me i would be so grateful!!!!!

Thanks
