Question

Best waterproof camera for hiking, beach and snorkeling

by kountry001 / August 9, 2015 2:40 PM PDT

I'm looking for a great, reasonably priced all-around camera to take pics (not video) for use hiking, snorkeling (no diving) and while lounging at the beach. Currently debating between TG-4, Panasonic DMC-T6 & Coolpix aw130. Thoughts or other suggestions?

Thanks.

Olympus TG-4
Panasonic DMC-T6
Nikon Coolpix AW130

Welcome any other suggestions of a point and shoot, under $400, that takes clear pictures underwater, and has a viewfinder that can be seen in sunlight.

The Panasonic DMC-T6 is not a camera.

It appears to be an accessory included in an accessories package.

Don't know which accessory.

Check your list of cameras.

Why not the AW130?

Don't really care about the diving depth as I won't be diving, but I heard it's an all-around good camera. Can you explain why not the AW130?

You would have to answer why not.

As to underwater clear pictures. Well, after many years of that I accepted that some clarity is lost. The optics are clearly different but you may find new photogs that expected instant results. It's digital so instead of burning film you take a lot of shots and see what you like later for cheap.

Answer
Drift Stealth 2

If you need a 'reasonably priced' camera I would suggest Drift Stealth 2. You would need an additional case to make it fully water proof, but it's cheap. Additionally, this camera is small and aerodynamic, which might be important during e.g. snorkeling.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
