Question

Best value? Ultrabook/Laptop 10-12in

What is the best bang for the buck laptop/ultrabook with 10-12 inch screen?

I have an Asus T100 which is awesome but lacks processing power and RAM.

Looking to upgrade to something with more power, HDMI out with very portable form factor.

Any recommendations?

Since this changes weakly

You have to re-research it almost daily. I have the t100 in an android and WIndows 10 form, nice but for power I'm back to my Lenovo y510p with 4th gen i7, 16GB RAM and now that the office swapped out the HDD for a SSD, zippy as can be. It was only 999 new and the SSD was about 180.

I consider it very portable.

Answer
Well Ultrabook are made

for good battery life, energy efficient and cooler but sacrifice power to do it. Also the processor families 4XXXU, 5XXXU the U stands for Utra. The 4XXXMQ, 5XXXMQ AND 4XXXHQ, 5XXXMQ are more power full but can't compete in the catecories that are the strength of the Ultrabooks.
