That is. All sources to the 4K Receiver then the HDMI 2.0 from receiver to HDTV. For a return audio channel try ARC and then Optical link from TV to receiver.
This setup is the usual and works 99.99% of the time.
Hello everyone! Searched for similar question to be answered but no luck. I have the following but hope this helps someone w/ a similar question.
Sony UHD X800 Player, Sony Bravia 65X850C, Pioneer Elite Lx501 and DefTech Pro 1,000 speakers as a 7.2.
So! Which way is the best way to hook up your brand new UHD Blue-ray Player for audio and video? Is it from UHD Player to Receiver to Tv? or UHD Player to TV then send audio to Receiver?
I tried it UHD Player to TV and that seemed to give me the best audio so far... It seemed as if I did not need the speakers loud to hear every detail. When connected UHD Player to Receiver to TV it seems as if i need to put the volume louder and as if I am not listening to all the detail / faint surround with DTS-x or Atmos. What do I need to do to make it sound at its best? any settings to change on TV or Receiver? thanks in advance... Also I have the AudioQuest HDMI Ocean exceeds minimum UHD content.
