Question

Best Settings for Samsung UN46ES6100

Sep 24, 2012 6:19AM PDT

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone has recommendations on picture settings for this TV. Just got it and the picture just seems washed out no matter what I change the settings to.
I went from a Samsung plasma which we loved but died after 5 yrs...the picture was so vibrant....was thinking LED would be just as good of a picture...but that wasn't the case.
Any suggestions?

Settings good for Un55ES6820fxzc
Oct 16, 2012 6:24AM PDT

Hi,

I've been looking everywhere for the best picture settings for my Samsung UN55ES6820 led tv, and can't find them anywhere. Right now, my settings are set to the calibrations on the first post in this forum for the UN55b8000, so my first question is, is this tv (UN46ES6100) closer to my model, and which settings would be best for my tv?

Thanks for any help. I've had the tv for a month and it's still driving me crazy!!

These options are only available in certain modes...

if you check the e-manual and look up changing the picture size, certain options are only available with certain types of input. For example, screen fit needs an HDMI input of 720p/1080i/1080p or component input of 1080i/1080p and wide fit is only available with HD 1080i/720p signals in 16:9 format. I found this out today when my DVD player was displaying an image at the bottom of the TV screen and cutting off the subtitles - I cannot adjust the picture position with the picture size I had.
Very annoying Samsung.
