I'll read it too but if you have a failing HDD you can expect seemingly hard to pin down performance issues. We know to check for that but we also run into owners that are in denial.

All that aside a few comments.

1. 32 or 64 bit. Here I found so little difference performance wise that I install 64 bit because the 32 bit limits bite. Let's not get too deep here but there's a lot of reasons to stay with 64 bit.

2. The 100% disk along with the Speccy is telling you the HDD is failing. If nothing else get that out of the system.

3. Once the HDD is replaced and not in this system, shop for RAM and a better GPU.
Example what you have versus a few years ago: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-750-Ti-vs-AMD-Radeon-HD-6450/2187vsm7821
Today I buy the 1050 Ti.

You do not have enough ram for gaming.

What is your budget?

Using http://speccy.piriform.com/results/yGsAVhGA1Lg3Qk0eut44r2M

1. The HDD is failing. Replace it. Do not leave it in the PC or it will dog the machine forever.
You can see the reason for 100% in 01 and 07 of the SMART values.
There are also failures in BC, C3.

2. Get the second stick of 2GB RAM. You have the 64 bit OS so this will help for very little.

3. Find a better GPU. Almost anything today or even in the past decade is better.

4. Possible free upgrade. Disable the following. You see this when there are a lot of IP connections and SVCHOST entries.
