Best retailer for Xbox 360 warranty

Jun 17, 2007 1:51AM PDT

I'm planning on buying an Xbox 360. I know that Microsoft has their own warranty, but which retail store has the best extended warranty for the Xbox 360? Do any of the retailers like Best Buy or Circuit City still offer a warranty on an Xbox 360 where they will replace it with a new unit if I get the "Ring of Death"?

Easy answer: Costco or Sam's Club

With Costco and Sam's Club you don't even need to buy an extended warranty to protect your console, unlike crappy EB Games/Gamestop. There are no questions asked either if you need to exchange your console or return it. Just keep your receipt.

Warranty

I guess it depends on if they send it in or swap it...
I would look at target or walmart...
I know that MS price was $60.00

Costco/Sam's Club

You don't have to pay anything for the nice warranty on any electronics purchased at Costco/Sam's. They just do a simple exchange too, no sending it in for repair.

Costco offers Xbox 360 bundles only?
Jun 18, 2007 8:45AM PDT

Costco seems to offer Xbox 360 bundles only, and Sam's Club lists the Xbox 360 Premium as "Available online only" with no price, and the Xbox 360 Elite as out of stock.
I'm more interested in a retailer who doesn't force me to buy online or rip me off with a "bundle".

Okay, previous post was wrong

Okay, previous post was wrong, I see I can get pretty decently priced Xbox "bundles" (including decent extras) delivered from both Sam's Club and CostCo
