Question

Best pro DVD photo slideshow software for Mac?

Mar 30, 2012 8:45AM PDT

Hi all, I have been researching and trying to find what is the most recommended software to produce professional slideshows for DVD (small business). imovie just doesn't cut it anymore. Photomagico had good reviews on this site although has been around for a while so I wonder if there is something new and better? Photo to Movie for Mac also had reasonable reviews however also quite a bit of negative feedback on bugs and potential issues with longer clips. Need to have Ken Burns effects, good selection of templates not too cheesy - more elegant styles) excellent export quality, ability to manipulate music so that it matches the show and can fad in and out and be clipped, planty of text options and sophisticated animations for the photos - also some cool new menu templates would be nice to have. I currently use photoshop and aperture for editing - and was about to invest in Final Cut Pro + Motion - should I bother? Look forward to your help! thanks, Monique (DVD Creations)

Answer
Here's how I research this.

I look at the alternative to web site.

It's at http://alternativeto.net/software/fotomagico/

But I found that some are looking for an all inclusive solution. For example you want to "manipulate" music. What does that mean? Most titles let us use a track, snip, fade but not "manipulate."
