Remember that means you would be looking at Windows and not anything else.

Also for the best tablet you have the usual new Windows 8 Pro tablets.
And for best price you would look at the Dell Window 7 tablets you find in the refurb market.

Given the cost, why not a laptop? Why a tablet since the next thing you would need is a keyboard, etc?

Quicken on a Mac
Oct 31, 2013 1:46PM PDT

I have a MacBook Pro but I don't think Quicken runs on a Mac as good as it does on Windows. I have used Quicken since 1992 but not on a Mac because I cannot find out if Quicken is that good on a Mac. Also, I don't know if my Quicken file will convert to a Mac. What do you think?

Sorry but I can't guess your question here.

I think you should tell why you asked about the tablet. You then asked for best tablet and then best price so I'm unsure what the real question is.

-> I think you should check out some value laptop such as the Asus K55N which comes in at about 399 or less and will run a current version with ease. As to files, Quicken must answer.

Best Priced Tablet

I found some great tablets on Monitorcloselystore.com. I ordered the Asus Vivotab smart 64 gb 10". It was only around $550 and was able to run Quicken and Microsoft Office. They were very helpful in helping me select the right product.

What's the attraction?
Nov 4, 2013 8:26AM PST

The office picked up an Asus x202e refurb for 300 so at nearly 1/2 the cost and with a 500GB HDD or almost 8 times the storage space, what was the attraction to a tablet where the next thing I have to add to get full use of Quicken and Office is a keyboard.

The problem is

That word processing on a tablet with no keyboard sounds painful. I've seen folk try it and their fingertips are numb after a few hours.

That can't be good.

It's awful to type words on a tablet with finger touch. But there are a lot of bluetooth keyboards now just for tablets

That's a loaded question because

in order to run Microsoft Office specifically you basically need an Intel processor. You can run Office on the Surface with an ARM processor but I'm not sure if they have Quicken as a Tile application yet. So the leaves to an Intel processor and the cheaper Intel tablets have Atom processors Dell has one real cheap now. The the I series Intel processor tablets which start around 700-800. The atom is less powerful and will have better battery life and power mgmt then the i series.
