...the Canon and Sony will have an edge in image quality; the Fujifilm and Panasonic are not as good. But the Fujifilm has some unique features which some people find useful. The new Panasonic FZ150 is probably the best superzoom at the moment.

thanks for your answer. The fuji HS20 has a raw feature and hot shoe for external flash, the canon SX40 doesn't,are those features really that important to go with the fuji ???

RAW allows you to process your own images; it gives you more control over the final look of the image. An external flash also gives you more control over lighting; it works better than the built-in flash but requires another skill-set to learn. Those two features (also available on the Panasonic FZ150) allow more "room to grow" if you get heavily involved in photography.

dslr,canon t3,pentax kr,nikon D5100

thanks again. I have couple of questions. I,m looking into couple of entry level dslr.Im testing the canon t3 and pentax kr.The pentax is faster (6 fps against 3 fps ) higher iso, both have good picture quality. When I move the pentax up &down or sideways there is a sound inside the camera like something is shifting or loose. That doesn't happen with the t3.Is that normal ?.Is that the sensor shift or the built in focus motor .I have not tested the nikon 5100.I,m liking the pentax but the nikon looks impressive on paper. Which of those 3 cameras would you recommend, which one would you pick?
