Question

Best Phone Out?

I know there is no definitive "best" anything, but I was wondering if there is a go-to amazing android phone out now. I haven't followed phone releases in about 2 years so my knowledge is pretty rusty. I am looking for a phone of any size, primarily focused on performance and a decent UI. Side question: which phone is technically the fastest out atm? Thanks!

Clarification Request
Fast at doing what?

I'd like to see a phone shoot out that includes how many milliseconds it takes for you to got to the Phone app. I can consistently beat most smart phones with my 10 buck tracfone.

Don't get my wrong here as I also own an Android phone.

About the UI. My preference is unadulterated Android. The Nexus from Google is my choice here. That way I can skin it any way I like.
