My neighbor picked up the Compaq v2510us for 750 last Saturday. Seems very very nice. Dual layer DVD recorder, 512M RAM, Turion, etc..

In reply to: Found AN Alienware :P spend that much on laptop. A very capable laptop can be had for $1000. A well appointed one for $1500. And a loaded on for $2000.

Only Alien and one or two other niche manufacturers price anything they sell that high.

If you primaray purpose is a mobile gaming box, build a Lan Party machine.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
