Best MP3 to support WMA files

Nov 6, 2005 1:38AM PST

I bought the SanDisk Sansa M240 MP3 player to be able to listen to eAudiobooks from Recorded Books/Net Library that are available through my public library. The Recorded Books/Net Library platform only works with WMA files so is NOT compatible with I-Pod which seems to be the best pick for audiobooks.

It seems that the player I bought will resume the book in the same place (but not bookmark), as long as I don't switch to another mode like listening to songs or the radio. But why even have the other features if you can't use them and audiobooks at the same time?

What was frustrating is that none of the MP3 manufacturer's websites say anything about bookmarking capacity. Am I looking in the wrong place for this info?

Maybe I'll try to see if I can return the player to the store (probably not since I had to open it to see if it really worked). If I am able to take it back, I don't even know which MP3 player to buy??

Any suggestions?
