Best monitor for reading

Dec 14, 2010 8:56PM PST

I am a medical student and spend many hours everyday reading from pdfs and ebooks on my pc. I would like to know if there is a good monitor suitable for my situation. Do you think that bying a kindle instead would be better? Thx

The best monitors I've seen

Were from BARCO. But you didn't put a limit on the price.

As to monitors for reading, this is a PERSONAL CHOICE where we shop and compare in the stores.

Yes, I know that nothing is better than comparing by yourself, I was just wondering, if there are any specialized monitors for long hours reading, in the market. Thank you for replying anyway.

I noted the BARCO models. Once you see those you might agree. But at the price!

Barco monitors

Hi there, as Barco's brand manager I want to stress that we indeed have got a great range of medical display products but these are intended for professional use i.e. by radiologists and other medical professionals. If you are looking for a monitor to read pdf or ebooks then I would advise you to stick to consumer displays. However, when you are looking for a DICOM compliant or FDA certified solution, then I would recommend our monitors.
