Too all over the map for me.

You have the HTC plastic model, the real Android experience Nexus and then maker enhanced models (stuff piled on?) So for me the Nexus would be my choice because I want the real thing. I also can get the latest OS updates usually weeks to months before the others. Samsung is notorious slow on this (yes I know the carrier is the usual bottleneck but with Samsung it seems to be both.) Sony continues they tradition of grudgingly updating only on screaming from the world.

Hi, you better try the HTC brand E8 dual sim or Sony. This both are fine and worth for the money. So try this.

Your latest list.....
Jan 30, 2015 12:48PM PST

....of requirements is not helpful as most of those are subjective from user to user and experience to experience. Those requirements are far too vague. I suggest you use a phone finder tool, like in www.Phonescoop.com to narrow your list. Good luck.

There will never be a "future-proof phone". The minute you but a phone at any price there will be a dozen or more phones ready to replace the one you just bought.
