First things first. You'll need to make sure that you have a model that can still have Linux installed on it. Sony removed the capability in a recent firmware update citing (probably correctly) that there was very little interest in it from the PS3 user base, so it went the way of PSX & PS2 back compatibility.
I have a ps3, 80 gb from the generation right before the slims and I want to install linux on it to double it as a computer. I will probably install a new hard drive on it, probably a 250 gb. My question is what is the best linux out for PS3 right now. I did a bit of research and there are 4 versions out there, but I want one that would support wi-fi along with live video streaming. Which linux would do these things the best?
